Grammys '09

I'm watching the Grammys from the DVR. Fast forwarding through a lot of it...

--Justin with Al Green. Awesome. Poor Boys-II-Men in the back - didn't get to hear much of them.

--Chris Martin starts off performing with Jay-Z. Then, he joins the rest of Coldplay to sing "Viva La Vida."

--Jason Mraz, my favorite male artist at the moment, loses to Coldplay for Song of the Year. Dammit. Not awesome. I expected "Viva La Vida" to win (sorry Jason). But still not cool. "I'm Yours" is MY song of the year.

--Jason presented which performers? What the _____ ???? The Jonas Bros? Good grief! And they're singing with one of my favorite R&B singers of all time... Stevie Wonder? Dammit Stevie... why must you make them sound much better with your awesomeness. Not awesome. I refuse to record their performance onto DVD.

--I sure don't care for Kanye West when it comes to his acceptance speeches or any other time he speaks. But I sure like his songs. I like "American Boy" with Estelle. Good performance even if he's sportin the mull-fro (mullet meets afro).

--Poor Jason. He looked great in the audience with... his mom? But he sure didn't look happy losing to John Mayer for the Male performer award. Hmmm... I'd have that look too I guess.

--Justin's back. He's performing with TI. JT and TI. I've never heard of this song. "Dead and Gone" Not bad. Never heard of it 'cause, of course, I'm out of it.

--Ne-Yo & Jamie Foxx performing as part of Smokey Robinsons' Four Tops? Nice.

--Josh Groban presented Neil Diamond's performance... and there's Jason at the end applauding and happy with Neil. Mr. Mraz is smooth lookin. Man? Am I writing enough about that guy?

--Cool. Robin Thicke with Li'l Wayne. Robin Thicke's got some soul. Too bad he looks too much like Daddy Growing Pains. Show me that smile again... (show me that smile)...

It's over. Nothing for Jason. Oh well. He'll get his one year...
