Get out

Last night, my boss sent out a message to the ten transition employees to let us know how much longer we have:

As I mentioned, the current plan for your extended employment with NECII is four months after 3/31/09, ends on 7/31/09. This will be in your transition offer letter, which should be available in the next couple of weeks.

Of course, today, I compare notes with the other nine folks. Here's how it's gonna work out as far as employment terms:

until 5/31: Sales Support (2) & Invoicing (1)
until 6/30: Accounting Manager (1)
until 7/31: Credit & Collections Manager (1) & Staff Accountant (1) <-that's me
until 9/30: Production (4)

...and my boss, Director of Finance & Operations, is here until 9/30 as well.

I don't think I would have thought of blogging about this but, I must say, I am very unhappy about our C&C Manager being here until 7/31. I mean, I'm so unhappy that I separated "I'm" into "I am". She's frequently out of the office for various personal health and children-related reasons. A lot of those absences appear valid but a lot of times, we're like, "Where ARE you???" And even when she's here, she's not here. She's always asking questions on topics which she should have the answer to. The people she asks, myself included, are alway dumbfounded with her. UGH!

So here... I don't normally cuss on my blogs but here goes.

FUCK!!!!!

I just asked her to help me out with something. It was I.T. related and should have been her area of expertise. But I ask her to help 'cause I'm in the middle of other reporting needs for executive management. What happens? She asks me so many questions as to what I want her to do. And, in the end, I did everything myself.

FUCK!!!!

I'm so pissed at the scenario and so unhappy for other people who are more competent and should be here to help with the transition but, instead, she gets to work here longer for a salary she doesn't deserve. Yes, I'm angry.

But, on a lighter note, it's so beautifully sunny out. [insert smiley face]
