Can't help but think it

When you're a person of color (and, in my case, that color is brown), you can't help but think that a person of the caucasian persuasion just might be a little racist if he barely says anything to you but laughs it up with the other caucasoids.

I'm not saying his attitude towards me is definitely race driven. I'm just saying I can't help but wonder about him. Heck, it could be nerd-ism. I mean, just 'cause I'm a nerd doesn't mean you have to hate. OR, it could also be the fact that he doesn't need anything from me. Therefore, he just doesn't want to give me the time of day.

I always go through this thought process when folks from Texas visit our offices. I just don't know how much of my kind they're exposed to down there. Still, you should just fake it buddy. I ain't done nuttin to you... so back up, yo.
