A coworker of mine asked me to lunch. Not a sit-down-let's-enjoy-each-other's-company kinda lunch. It was a simple hey-wanna-grab-something-to-eat-and-bring-it-back-to-work-and-eat-on-our-own type of invite. Still, I didn't want to. She's been so rude to another coworker of mine for such a long time now. Although I don't have any beef with her, I feel like she's been very mean to others and I've had enough of it. I hate myself for being nice to rude people sometimes. I'm gonna make it a point to bring lunch on a regular basis again just to avoid going with her anywhere.
She did catch me off guard when she asked if I brought lunch. I told her that I had to go to school to buy a book. I was so quick. It was awesome. I also added that I was gonna bring G some lunch. Yeah, take that. TWO lies. Although one became a reality. I know G enjoyed this particular lie. Nothing like food delivered to you. Lloyd's Lunches. That's right.
I'm so glad I went out for lunch. Friggin finally 70 degrees around here. It's a heatwave I tell ya!

I think I've done that once before. I lied about having to do an errand so I could avoid spending my lunch with a co-worker.
And you know what? I don't feel guilty. Sometimes the separation is GREAT. :)
