Well, whaddayaknow? A bench sits before this wonderful scene. There are rose petals sprinkled along the ground, a half-dozen roses representing the number of years we’ve been together, candles lit and blown out (repeatedly) by the wind, a flashlight and nightlight as backup, and a blanket to keep us (her) warm…

We sit together, in the cold, and I ramble…er…reminisce about our six years together – “the story of us”. After some laughs, some tears, and a whole bunch of emotions, I go down on one knee and ask her to marry me (details left out on exact wording to make it appear that it was asked smoothly).
…
[silence]
(but she’s smiling)
…
She takes a second to compose herself and finally answers, with a straight face, “I s’pose.”

I exclaim, “I’ll take it!” Sure, that may have sounded like a slightly ambiguous reply. But those who know her KNOW what I heard. It’s a, “Yes.” A clear and resounding YES! (No, I am not disillusioned)

…and there you have it. I’m the luckiest guy in the world!
