Gosh dangit. I was really shooting to have lost 20 total pounds during this week's weigh-in but I'll settle for having lost any poundage this week. I blame the damn good Filipino food I had at a friend's birthday last night. There was the usual pancit and lumpia. But I got to eat stuff I don't normally get to enjoy -- had some embutido (Filipino meatloaf), dinguan, and some pork binagoongan. I didn't think I ate a lot -- but, honestly, the portions I had of all this fattening food must have added up. But, hey, I'm not gonna complain about losing almost two pounds in one week. And at least I passed up eating late night Dick's burgers last night. That's total control, yo.
I even went friggin running today... in the RAIN! Felt so good to be out there. I ran a little over a mile and a half before I took my first break walking. Then, the rest of my three miles was spent walking/running/walking/walking/running/walking/walking/walking. I'm feeling really good now! So good that I signed up for the Seattle Rock n Roll Marathon. Only the half marathon. But it's the biggest running challenge of my life. Can't wait!
